BIg cats?
So what on earth do we mean by "Big Cats"? For initial clarity we don't mean lions or tigers!
We are talking about the smallest of the Panthera Genus the Leopard, the biggest of Feline Genus and the lynx which is its own genus but all of these are from the Felidae family of Cat species though all slightly different.
Big cats like leopards, pumas and lynx are highly adaptive animals and would have no problems with the UKs environment, Leopards in particular are found all over the planet in different environments and temperatures. The UK is a nice cool afternoon walk for them and full of unsuspecting prey.
All believed to be here due to releases and escapes over generations.

The Melanistic Black Leopard
(Panthera Pardus)

The puma/ Mountin Lion
(Puma concolor)
